1. Intellectual Property & Copyright
By submitting an image to Ashley’s Lithophanes, you (the Customer) affirm that you own the copyright to the photo or have documented permission from the copyright holder to reproduce it.
Ashley’s Lithophanes reserves the right to refuse any order that appears to violate copyright laws or contains prohibited content (e.g., illegal or highly offensive material).
We do not claim ownership of your photos. They are used solely for the purpose of fulfilling your order.
2. Nature of 3D Printed Products
Our lithophanes are created using FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) technology.
Variations: Due to the 3D printing process, minor surface textures, layer lines, or slight color variations are normal and are not considered defects.
Heat Sensitivity: Most lithophanes are printed in PLA plastic. This material can warp or deform if exposed to high heat (above 120°F/50°C), such as inside a hot car or directly against high-wattage incandescent bulbs. Please use LED lights for illumination.
3. Limitation of Liability
Ashley’s Lithophanes is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products. We are not responsible for damage caused by improper handling, such as dropping the item or using improper light sources that cause melting.
4. Returns and Refunds
Because each lithophane is a custom-made, personalized work of art, we cannot accept returns or exchanges unless the item arrives damaged or there is a clear manufacturing error.
If your item arrives damaged during shipping, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the damage and the packaging.
5. Privacy
Your uploaded photos are stored securely and are only accessible by our production team. Once your order is completed and the holding period for potential reprints has passed, files may be deleted from our local servers.

Shipping & Handling Policy
1. Production Timeline
Each lithophane is custom-made to order. Unlike mass-produced items, 3D printing is a high-precision, time-intensive process.
Standard Processing: Please allow 3–5 business days for your image to be processed, sliced, and printed.
Peak Seasons: During holidays (Mother’s Day, Christmas, etc.), production times may extend to 10–15 business days. We appreciate your patience as we ensure every layer is perfect.
2. Shipping Methods & Tracking
We ship via Royal Mail.
Once your order is dropped off at the carrier, you will receive a tracking number via email.
Estimated Delivery: Domestic shipping typically takes 3–7 business days depending on the service selected at checkout.
3. Packaging for Protection
We take great care in "over-engineering" our packaging. Your lithophane will be secured in protective sleeves and reinforced with padding to prevent snapping or bending during transit.
4. Damaged Shipments
Despite our best efforts, accidents happen in transit. If your lithophane arrives cracked or broken:
Please take a photo of the damaged item and the original packaging.
Email these photos to info@ashleys-lithophanes.co.uk within 48 hours of delivery.
We will prioritize a free replacement print for any item proven to be damaged during shipping.
5. Incorrect Addresses
Please double-check your shipping address! Ashley’s Lithophanes is not responsible for orders delivered to an incorrect address provided by the customer. If a package is returned to us due to an insufficient address, the customer will be responsible for the additional shipping costs to resend it.
